God Has Something New for Us

When He feels that we are ready for it, God always has something new for us. And He is always ready and waiting to perform a new thing in us. If we prepare ourselves by letting His will be done, all of us will be ready, willing and able.

In our fast-paced world we tend to be impatient. We are told to “Just do it.” We are in some ways given a sense of entitlement. That we can have it if we want. We are never told that whatever we want is not there for us.

But God’s timing and ours is different. And His idea of what we want and ours is different. His will supersedes everything. So, while we wait for God to provide our new, we must prepare ourselves for it. We must also be prepared for when it happens in an unexpected way. Which often happens in our life. And we must be humble when in it.

This is true whether it is a new relationship, job, financial gain, or a fresh idea.

We meet new people all the time. Sometimes it leads to relationships. Sometimes it does not. But if we meet and greet people with an open mind and love in our heart a lasting relationship that we never expected may occur.

God opens doors for us in our professions all the time. If we work hard and prepare for it a promotion may come up that allows us to move into a new area of the company. Sometimes, someone notices our work or is told about it, and we are offered a new job somewhere else.

 There are times when we are laid off or unemployed and work is hard to find. Often in those moments someone from our past comes along and intercedes on our behalf with their boss or someone they know. New opportunities spring from this intercession.

Financially, we may get an unexpected raise or bonus. We may be offered a job with a higher salary.

What would our country be if God did not provide so many of us with new ideas? He always has something planned for us. And He tells us what it is if we listen. God knows every idea and plan that He has for us. He is only waiting for us to put ourselves in position to use them.

Whether we believe that God has a new thing for us is relevant also. For if we think that we create or perform the new ourselves then the blessing He has for us will never truly be fulfilled.

So, let’s be open and prepared for the new that God has for us. May we acknowledge that it is from Him. And may we be ready to walk into that newness when it occurs.

That is His plan. For all of us.
